Goodbye 2010

31/12/10

As we are living the last hours of this year I am going to think back and make a little summary of what happened this past year, because many things happened (even if the list doesn’t seem so long here):

- people came (Stef, Timo and Laura) and people left (Cristina, Pedro and Laura)
- we started having meetings religiously every week to discuss changes that were being made and ongoing projects
- we created a new identity and a new website to go with it
- we started working with new clients

I think as far as I can remember these were the main and most important things. If anyone can think of anything else major they can leave a comment :-p

So I think the only thing left to say now is: don’t get too trashed this weekend! :-p

HAPPY 2011!!! May you finally keep all your resolutions this year ;-)

PS: in case you were wondering how they celebrate the New Year in Times Square in New York you can follow it here and you can also read about the history of their balls.

Less is more…

… if you can say that about a collage. Simple in forms but rich in their poetic content, Alexis Anne Mackenzie’s collages grabbed my busy eye.

Have you ever noticed that graphic designers usually have an out of the ordinary taste? You can recognize them from a mile away by the strange clothes they wear and the weird items they carry.
We would like to share some of the weird stuff we find in hopes that you also find it beautiful.

Fingerfood

Being an absolute sucker for nonsense, I couldn’t help myself but to include this lovely item on our blog. It is the perfect party paraphernalia for those who like to entertain with style during the holidays (or any other time). Remember, it’s still not too late to buy this present ;)

You can find those on spoonsister.com

Boundaries of Desire

10/12/10

If you are still not too sure what to get your boyfriend for xmas, (and no… socks are NOT an option) then you can start to thank the Lord, that there is something any man would fancy. A book presenting a fantastic collection of Terry Rodgers paintings.
This photo-realistic painter depicts the world of the young and the beautiful.

Go on, see for yourself, you know you want to…

These Canadian guys generate awesome dance stuff! Their sound is tight & super well produced; I love the mood, kinda sleazy :-p And it turns out they are not only genius composers; Check the guy out in this video. He can dance, huh? Style! Come on, pull some moves and take them out tonight, it’s Friday!

The melting pot of elespacio

There are just things in this world that you can’t (or shouldn’t) slam into any rigid category. Here you will find random tidbits (be it physical or simply ideas) that don’t fit into any of the other categories we painstakingly thought out. The only thing you can be sure of is that anything and everything you find in this section probably made us laugh hysterically and fall off our chairs. Or maybe it just brought back fond, funny or frightening memories from our childhood. Or we just think its plain awesome. Whatever may be the case, we think you can’t go on with your life without seeing these things…

We’re out there!

As probably you’ve heard and experienced, first impressions are crucial; you have about three seconds to make a good one. If you mess up, it’s very hard to undo. That is why this is a historic moment. You are reading the very first post from our new blog.

We are proud to present to you our new website. After many months of planning and hard work it is finally finished. If you are familiar with the old website, then you know that a complete makeover has occurred; including the re-design of the website and the elespacio identity. If you haven’t done so already, you should go check it out: www.elespacio.net

If you’ve seen our website then you probably already know that we are a digital creative agency based in Barcelona and you probably already saw some of our work, where you can find us and what half of our faces look like. You can find all the professional information you heart desires. But in this blog we would propose something else; to introduce our fun and quirky side. We will be posting all sorts of interesting things that makes us laugh, cry, happy, sad, ecstatic. Things that make us feel alive and full of energy.

So we invite you to follow us on our blogging journey, for it will surely be rollercoaster ride. Starting a blog isn’t as simple as it seems at first sight ;)
